The interinstitutional collaboration networks are efficient mechanisms which permit to potentialize the operational capabilities of universities and companies in the development of educational and technological projects. Although its enormous importance for the development of the productive regions, it is not easy to form collaborative networks, in part by the bureaucracy of institutions and in a second term by the industrial sector disinterest in making equipment with universities. This paper presents the experiences in formation of interinstitutional networking and academic groups in some universities in the South and North of Sonora. We describe some projects developed by the networks and academic groups, and the importance of interinstitutional collaborative work for the benefit of teaching and regional development.
