Resumen de Integración de soluciones de videoconferencia y telepresencia en arquitecturas de redes de campus

Alejandro Caballero, Martha Luna, Jonathan Aguilar

  • The trend to integrate various services in the communications infrastructure of organizations, regardless of the genre of it, has resulted in the concept of converging networks, in other words the simple transmission of data is no longer sufficient for the needs of users transmissions currently require voice, video and unified communications services, labeled as such by most providers of these technologies.

This paper highlights the ability to incorporate telepresence and video conferencing technologies in a converged network within a campus architecture, for this, we consider the UTEZ (Technological University Emiliano Zapata) communications network as a study case, this network has devices and appropriate links to provide bandwidths required for video and telepresence applying the concept of quality of service (QoS).
