    El presente trabajo estudia el acercamiento epistemológico de estudiantes chinos de español (hongkoneses, en este caso) y profesores nativos, haciendo hincapié en el impacto que las diversas metodologías y ecologías educativas puedan tener en el proceso de aprendizaje de los alumnos. Se atenderá, asimismo, al desarrollo de una posible interlengua por influencia de su L1 y de posibles L2 (inglés, fundamentalmente). El objetivo final es llevar a cabo una correcta delimitación y definición del destinatario específico: el aprendiente de español como tercera lengua en un contexto multilingüe de herencia confuciana (Hong Kong). Para concluir se ofrecen una serie de consejos para los profesores noveles en el citado contexto y se intentará situar al estudiante hongkonés de español dentro del marco genérico del alumno sinófono.

    In the following article we are going to study the epistemological approach of Chinese students of Spanish (Hong Kong students in our case) and native teachers, paying attention to the impact that the diverse methodologies and educative ecologies might have in the learning process of our students. We will also study the development of a possible interlanguage due to interferences from their L1 or other L2 (mostly, English). The final objective is to achieve a proper definition and delimitation of our object of study, the student of Spanish as a third language in a multilingual context of Confucian heritage (Hong Kong). We will offer also a number of advices for new teachers in the said environment and we will try to place the Hong Kong student inside a more generic frame as the Chinese speaking student is.
