  • The article focuses on conservatism and the U.S. Republican Party. Topics include the possible effects of the party's aging demographic of voters, including Baby Boomers and the preceding generation; what the author sees as the increasing radicalization of the wealthy and their increasing control of the Republican Party; and the author's belief that conservatives would rather blame former U.S. President George W. Bush for poor leadership than examine why his policies, which mirrored those of former U.S. President Ronald Reagan, had the opposite effect of Reagan's.
