Resumen de Ruínas da estância Santa Clara-Quaraí/RS: as primeiras intervenções arqueológicas e a análise da cerâmica histórica.

  This study presents a research on the Ruins of Estância Santa Clara, a resort located in the Quaraí / RS, Artigas, on the Uruguay border. The first field interventions were performed in 2009, continuing the Salamanca project developed by the Laboratory for Archaeological Studies and Research, Universidade Federal de Santa Maria, which aims to rescue and enhance the archaeological heritage of the county. The aim of the interventions was to recognize the place, the remaining structures, to photograph and rescue material remains. Some aspects of the material culture from the site are presented during the work and it was focused on the analysis of historical ceramics. By the materiality, it is possible to rescue the past of that ranch, inhabited by people not recognized by history, whose documents for study are scarce, thereby contributing to the understanding of the resorts in the region.

  O presente estudo apresenta as pesquisas realizadas nas Ruínas da Estância Santa Clara, uma estância localizada no município de Quaraí/RS, fronteira com Artigas no Uruguai. As primeiras intervenções de campo foram efetivadas no ano de 2009, dando continuidade ao projeto Salamanca desenvolvido pelo Laboratório de Estudos e Pesquisas Arqueológicas da Universidade Federal de Santa Maria, que visa resgatar e valorizar o patrimônio arqueológico do Município. O objetivo das intervenções era conhecer o local, as estruturas remanescentes, e resgatar os vestígios materiais. Alguns aspectos da cultura material proveniente do sítio são apresentados no decorrer do trabalho, sendo que se deteve na análise da cerâmica histórica. Através da materialidade é possível resgatar o passado dessa estância, habitada por pessoas não reconhecidas pela historiografia, cujos documentos para estudo são escassos, contribuindo dessa forma para a compreensão das estâncias da região.
