Este artículo explora la relación entre religión y política en la novela Luterito de Carrasquilla. Observa el diálogo que establece el autor con el mundo de la prefiguración de la obra literaria mediante la configuración narrativa de la guerra civil de 1876-1877. Intenta leer, desde reflexiones actuales, con el fin de establecer nexos entre la realidad del siglo xix y la del xxi, en torno al tema de la violencia y la exclusión social.

This article explores the connection between religion and politics in the novel Luterito by Carrasquilla. We aim to observe the dialogue between the author and the prefiguration of the literary work with the narrative configuration of the civil war in 1876-1877 in Colombia. It tries to read the text based on contemporary considerations, with the purpose of making connections between the 19th and 21st century reality of violence and social exclusion.
