Resumen de Biomass forestry ?: Implications for land use policy in Europe

  • Biomass forestry refers to the growing of forest crops to produce wood for energy or for pulping. Current interest in biomass forestry lies in its potential to make economic use of land which is no longer required for agriculture. This article looks at the case for biomass forestry with particular reference to comparisons with other crops, choice of markets, location factors, obstacles to development, and priorities for action and future research and development.
