Resumen de Private National Nature Reserves?
Prompted by a report that the UK government wanted to explore the possibility of privatizing the UK's National Nature Reserves, this article looks at the issues involved in handing over the management of the UK's prime wildlife sites to those who may not be whole heartedly behind wildlife conservation. Three questions arise. What was the government's motive for exploring the privatization idea? What did the government intend as the privatization mechanism? Is there any evidence to show which of the many mechanisms in use are most effective in managing NNRs?
