  • The article presents the winning entry in the Institute of Management Accountant's annual Carl Menconi Case Writing Competition. The study describes a situation in which an employee of a manufacturer of water-purification systems has inadvertently overheard two co-workers discuss a potential violation of the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act while pursuing sales in Africa.
