Caminos para seducir a Helena: O las propuestas retóricas de Gorgias, Platón y Aristóteles

    En el presente trabajo intento mostrar como la disputa de posiciones entre Gorgias y Platón por el lugar del λóγος, su potencia y el derecho a su uso se articulan en dos textos clave (especial pero no exclusivamente): Encomio de Helena y Fedro, respectivamente. Para ello sera analizado que el papel que adjudican a los elementos emotivos-afectivos resulta la piedra de toque a partir de la cual la retorica sofistica gorgiana y la retórica filosófica platónica mostraran claramente sus divergencias. Por último, haré alusión a la postura que asume Aristóteles frente a esta herencia en Retórica a traves de su planteo de tres medios de prueba (ἦθος, πάθος, λóγος), de igual importancia para lograr persuasión.

    In this paper I will try to show how the positions dispute between Gorgias and Plato for the place of the λóγος, its power and the right to use it are articulated on two key texts (especially but not exclusively): the Encomium of Helen and Phaedrus, respectively . To do this I will analyze the role allotted to emotional-affective elements is the touchstone from which Gorgianic sophistic rhetoric and Platonic philosophical rhetoric clearly show their differences. Finally, I will make reference to the posture assumed by Aristotle against this heritage in Rhetoric through his approach to the three proof media (ἦθος, πάθος, λóγος), of equal importance to achieve persuasion.
