    Un importante objetivo del Plan Nacional de I+D entre los expresados en la Ley de Fomento y Coordinación General de la Investigación Científica y Técnica es contribuir a la construcción de un sistema de Ciencia y Tecnología involucrado en el desarrollo socioeconómico del país. Ello supone la mejora de la I+D pública, tanto en sus aspectos cuantitativos como cualitativos, la definición de prioridades de I+D acordes con la necesidades industriales del país y la articulación entre los diferentes agentes concurrentes en el sistema.

    A major objective of the National R+D Plan, amongst those set forth in the Act on the Promotion and General Coordination of Scientific ant Technical Research, is that of contributing to the setting up of a Science and Technology system concerned with the country's socio-economic development. That means improving public R+D, both quantitatively and qualitatively, defining R+D priorities in accordance with the country's industrial needs, and providing coordination between the different cogs in the system.
