EL LIBRO BLANCO DE LA I+D+I AL SERVICIO DE LAS Personas con Discapacidad y de las Personas Mayores es una iniciativa promovida por el Ministerio de Trabajo y Asuntos Sociales y el Ministerio de Ciencia y Tecnología en la que el Instituto de Biomecánica de Valencia (IBV), en virtud de un convenio suscrito con el IMSERSO, presta su colaboración y experiencia metodológica en dos iniciativas semejantes para identificar las líneas prioritarias de investigación y las medidas de acompañamiento que permitirán mejorar en España la situación de la investigación científica, el desarrollo y la innovación de las Tecnologías de la Rehabilitación.
El pasado 10 de enero, representantes de los citados Ministerios se reunieron para constituir el Comité de Organismos Promotores de este Libro Blanco y, de igual manera, el 31 de enero se celebró la reunión de constitución del Comité de Coordinación, con lo que esta iniciativa, que finalizará hacia el mes de abril de 2003, se ha puesto en marcha. En este artículo se explica la situación desde la que se parte, los objetivos que se persiguen y la metodología que permitirá alcanzarlos.

The White Book of RTD for Disabled Persons and Elderly People is an initiative promoted by the Ministry of Labour and Social Matters and the Ministry of Science and Technology where the Institute of Biomechanics of Valencia (IBV), by virtue of an agreement signed with the IMSERSO, renders its collaboration and methodological experience in two similar initiatives for the identification of priority lines of investigation and accompaniment measures that will allow improving the situation of scientific research, development and innovation of Rehabilitation Technologies in Spain.
On January 10th, representatives of the Ministries mentioned above met to constitute the Promoting Organisms Committee of this White Book and on January 31st was celebrated a meeting for the creation of the Co-ordination Committee, these were the first steps of this initiative that will finalise towards April 2003. In this article we explain the situation of departure, the objectives that are pursued and the methodology that will allow achieve them.
