  Resumen Un glioblastoma multiforme es el tumor cerebral más frecuente, invasivo y agresivo en los seres humanos, que crece principalmente en los hemisferios cerebrales, difícil de tratar por los especialistas. La supervivencia de los pacientes que lo padecen se extiende a unos 12 meses con tratamiento quirúrgico junto con radioterapia y quimioterapia.

  En este Relato Biográfico se pretende recoger la experiencia de una cuidadora de una persona que es diagnosticada con un glioblastoma multiforme de grado IV. La informante nos relata cómo fue el cuidado de su hermana, la dureza del proceso, cómo fue la espera en el hospital, el punto de vista que tuvieron acerca de esta enfermedad, cómo afrontaron la noticia del diagnóstico, su posterior tratamiento y como fueron sucediendo los acontecimientos, la forma de afrontar y el apoyo recibido por la familia ante la enfermedad.

A glioblastoma multiforme) A glioblastoma multiforme brain tumor is the most frequent and aggressive invasive in humans, which grows mainly in the cerebral hemispheres, difficult to treat by specialists. The survival of patients who suffer extends about 12 months with surgical treatment with radiation therapy and chemotherapy.

  In this biographical story aims to collect a caregiver experience and the experiences of a person who is diagnosed with a grade IV glioblastoma multiforme. The informant tells how he was taking care of his sister, how hard was the process, what was waiting in the hospital, the view they had about the disease, how they faced the news of the diagnosis and subsequent treatment as events were happening, how to deal with and the support received by the family to the disease.
