    En relación con el análisis y lectura de la bibliografía existente en España sobre sistemas de construcción y la evolución del mobiliario histórico español, se desprende que una sociedad construye sus muebles de una determinada manera y con un determinado fin, y que el conocimiento de tales sistemas constructivos es una herramienta básica para el peritaje de piezas de mobiliario. En España nos hemos incorporado tarde a este tipo de estudios, no encontrando referencias bibliográficas hasta la década de los noventa, cuando se trataron cuestiones relacionadas con marqueterías y cuando se produjo la incorporación de teóricos que comenzaron a profundizar en la personalidad de los sistemas de construcción del mobiliario antiguo español.

    In relation with the analysis and reading of the existing bibliography in Spain about systems of construction and the evolution of the historical Spanish furniture, it is deduced that a company make his furniture in a certain way and with an established aim and the knowledge of such constructive systems is a basic tool for the survey of pieces of furniture. In Spain we have joined late to this type of studies, not finding bibliographical references until the decade of the nineties, when they investigated questions related to marquetry and when the incorporation of theoretical took place, hey began to penetrate into the characteristics of the systems of construction of the ancient Spanish furniture.
