It does so from different perspectives: health care, economic and environmental. The study was carried out in the provinces of Sevilla and Badajoz, using the personally delivered questionnaires. The results of the surveys showed that a great amount of medicines are to be found in people's homes which are stored in places that are unsuitable for their correct conservation and use. It is also worth pointing out the economic cost to the country that keeping medicines that can still be used as to those which have expired.
