    El presente artículo muestra el análisis de la fragilidad en azul del acero ASSAB SUPRA 709 cuando se somete a tratamiento térmico (temple y revenido), se estudiaron las variables que afectan el revenido como son tiempo de sostenimiento y velocidad de enfriamiento y cómo estas afectan la fragilidad del material. Los resultados muestran mejoras en el comportamiento mecánico del acero cuando se aumenta el tiempo de sostenimiento y cuando se cambia la velocidad de enfriamiento (aireaceite) con tendencia a la ductilidad. El estudio busca incrementar la aplicabilidad de este tipo de aceros en la industria nacional.

    The present article shows the analysis of the fragility in blue of steel ASSAB SUPRA 709 when it is put under heat treatment (quenching and tempering), studied the variables that affect the tempering as they are time of support and speed of cooling and as these affect the fragility of the material. The results show improvements in the mechanical behavior of the steel when the time is increased of support and when the speed of cooling (air oil) with tendency changes to the ductility. The study looks for to increase the applicability of this type of steel in the national industry.
