    Along this article we trace an insect path, namely the ant and the fly, in the Spanish stories of Javier Tomeo (1932) and Juan José Millás (1946), trying to uncover marks of love and hate in the relation that the character establishes with the writer. Trough these tiny people, we will keep up with some of writer's concerns, that question about the place of the man in the universe, about the mass that it is made of, and about the activity of the writer that, sitting in front of the computer or in his reading couch, is being surprised, but also disturbed, by the most magical visits.

    Ao longo deste artigo traçamos a trajetória do inseto, nomeadamente a formiga e a mosca, nos contos dos espanhóis Javier Tomeo (1932) e Juan José Millás (1946), procurando descortinar marcas de amor e ódio na relação que a personagem estabelece com o escritor. Através destas gentes miudinhas, acompanharemos algumas das preocupações deste último que contemplam um questionamento sobre o lugar do homem no universo, sobre a massa de que é feito e sobre a atividade do escritor que, sentado frente ao computador ou no sofá das suas leituras, é surpreendido, mas também perturbado, pelas mais mágicas visitas.
