Resumen de Ilustrar poesia para a infância: entre as rimas cromáticas e as metáforas visuais

This paper identifies a corpus of anthologies of children�s poetry published in Portugal in last few years where illustration plays an important role in assuring the cohesion of the volumes and in the reading process of the texts. The paper also analyses the relationships established between images and texts in order to understand the specificity of children�s poetry illustration, identifying illustration functions and particular strategies that link text and image.

Este trabalho identifica um conjunto de antologias de poesia para crianças publicadas em Portugal nos últimos anos onde a ilustração desempenha um papel relevante no processo de coesão gráfica das publicações, assim como de mediação na leitura dos textos. Analisa as relações que as imagens estabelecem com os textos poéticos com vista a compreender a especificidade da ilustração da poesia infantil, identificando funções e estratégias particulares de articulação entre texto e imagem.
