Resumen de La confrontación ciencias-letras: la matemática como saber reintegrador

La matemática está aislada en el contexto escolar. Constituye un "terreno de nadie" entre las disciplinas científicas y humanísticas. Se propone un nuevo papel para las matemáticas que sirvan como saber reintegrador entre las ciencias y las letras. Se dan algunas ideas de cómo pueden desempeñar este papel en concreto, se establecen vínculos entre las matemáticas y la literatura.

Mathematics is isolated in the school context. It is regarded as "no man´s land" somewhere between Science and Humanities. A new rol to be played by Mathematics is suggested: it sould be used as an integrative knowlwdge between Science and Humanities. Some ideas are given on how Mathematics can play this new rol, more specifically, how new connections can be established between Mathematics and Literature.
