    This article describes the historical construction of the relation between mental health and work demonstrating how "The history of health workers" was built in the evolution of the struggles and changes in working conditions. We seek to present the construction of the discussion about the psychopathology of the work, the passage to the proposal from the psychodynamics of work, and the present moment, we are in the Clinic of Social Pathologies. Weaving on historical events that occurred in the world, particularly in Europe and particularly focusing on the Brazilian reality, we intend to give an overview of the current field of mental health and work.

    Este artigo descreve construção histórica da relação entre saúde mental e trabalho demonstrando como foi se constituindo "A história da saúde dos trabalhadores", na evolução das lutas e mudanças nas condições de trabalho. Buscamos apresentar a construção da discussão sobre a Psicopatologia do Trabalho, a passagem para a proposta da Psicodinâmica do Trabalho, e o momento atual, em que nos encontramos na Clínica das Patologias Sociais. Tecendo sobre acontecimentos históricos ocorridos no mundo, em especial na Europa e principalmente focando na realidade brasileira, pretendemos traçar um panorama atual do campo da saúde mental e trabalho.
