    El emblema de la Cruz Roja es conocido prácticamente de manera universal y se encuentra estrechamente vinculado con la ayuda humanitaria, la asistencia médica y sanitaria en casos de desastre y guerra, y, en general, con el apoyo solidario. Dicho emblema no puede ser utilizado por cualquier persona, pues cuenta con una protección especial del Derecho Internacional Humanitario (DIH). En el caso de México, además, el uso del emblema y la denominación de Cruz Roja está regulado por una ley; en este documento se analiza quién, cómo y cuándo se puede usar el mencionado emblema, sin incumplir la normativa nacional e internacional.

    The Red Cross is an emblem that is almost universally known and is closely linked with humanitarian aid, medical and healthcare disasters, war, and in general with support and solidarity. Nevertheless, this emblem cannot be used by just anyone; it has special protection under International Humanitarian Law. In the case of Mexico, in addition to the above cited, the use of the emblem and the name "Red Cross" is regulated by law therefore, in this paper we analyze by whom, how, and when the use of this emblem is allowed without violating national and international regulations.
