    LA EMPRESA CICASA, FABRICANTE DE PISOS Y PLANTILLAS PARA CALZADO, HA REALIZADO un proyecto de investigación en colaboración con el Instituto de Biomecánica de Valencia (IBV) dirigido a obtener criterios funcionales de diseño para el quiebre del zapato de señora en función de la altura del tacón. Como resultado se ha obtenido un estándar de curvas para que el diseño del quiebre del calzado de señora sea ergonómico y esté adaptado a la forma de los pies de la población española, mejorando así el confort del calzado de tacón.

    Este trabajo supone una importante contribución a la industria del calzado y sus componentes, ya que estas curvas pueden aplicarse también al diseño de otros componentes del calzado además de los pisos como hormas, cambrillones, etc.

    The company CICASA, manufacturer of soles and insoles for footwear, has carried out a research Project in collaboration with the IBV aimed to obtain design functional criteria for the shank of woman footwear in function of the height of the heel. As a result, a standard of curves has been obtained in order that the design of the shank will be ergonomic and it will be adapted to the shape of the feet of the Spanish population, improving, in that way, the comfort of the high-heeled shoes.

    This research work is an important contribution to the Footwear Industry and the Components Industry, as these curves can also be applied to the design of other shoe components besides of the soles, as lasts, steel shanks, etc.
