    El siguiente artículo aborda la cuestión arriba planteada, ahondando en los estereotipos y preconcepciones en relación al urbanismo tanto islámico como cristiano durante la Edad Media. Además, pretende destacar la relevancia de aquellas fuerzas que subyacen tras la forma de estas ciudades, y cuán amplia es la variedad de tales fuerzas, hasta el punto de que cualquier intento de generalización sería fútil.

    The following article addresses the question asked above, digging into stereotypes and preconceptions regarding both the Islamic and Christian urbanism during the Middle Ages. It also aims to highlight the significance of the underlying forces in relation to the shape of these cities, and how wide the variety of such forces is, to the point that any possible attempt to make a generalization would be completely futile.
