    Las infecciones parasitarias adquiridas por viajeros o población inmigrante pueden afectar a cualquier órgano del aparato digestivo en forma de diversos síndromes. Son poco frecuentes y siempre deben descartarse, en primer lugar, las causas autóctonas más frecuentes del síndrome que presente el paciente. Las pruebas diagnósticas a realizar deben orientarse principalmente por la anamnesis dirigida del paciente. El tratamiento de cada entidad será individualizado en función del agente etiológico y el cuadro clínico de comienzo.

    Parasitic infections acquired by travelers or immigrant population may affect any organ of the digestive tract in form of different syndromes. They are uncommon and the most frequent autoctonic causes of the syndromes that the patient presents should always be ruled out in the first place. The diagnostic tests to be performed should be mainly oriented by the patient's directed anamnesis. Treatment of each entity should be individualized based on the etiological agent and the debut clinical picture.
