  • Recent trust product near-defaults have highlighted China's growing problem with shadow banking; It is thought that defaults of both financial institutions and trust companies might happen as China moves to a market-based economy; However there are no bankruptcy regulations for financial institutions. Defaults might become more common once a process is finalised.
