  • The paleocurrent measurements in the differents outcrops and quarries of Villamayor Sandstones (Cabrerizos Sandstones Fm Middle Eocene), taken from a:) channel axist the bars growing downstream, and b) cross stratifications, and sedimentary corps due to overflowing events, allow to determinate two systems. The projection and representation in a topographic map (scale 1/25.000), show one system with SW-NE direction, and other with AE-NW direction. The SW-NE system establish the main paleodrainage direction, which coincide with the guideline of the tilt of sloped blocks to the NE and tilted to the NW. The SE-NW system shows the growing direction of the sandy corps related to overflowing events and the oblique migration of the bars into the channels. The presence of the only N-S paleocurrent direction in the westward side of the map can be related to a small, tributary of the main flow, or a different system or an evolution of the preeceding one, if it counts the charge and the seemingly higher stratigraphy position. Generally, the paleodrainages maps locate the granitoid and metamorphic supply areas in the SW, and the sediments scatter happens on SW-NE direction.
