  • The article focuses on the Decree 01/2014/ND-CP (Decree 1) on foreign investments issued by the government of Vietnam on January 3, 2014. It mentions that the Decree 1 increases the ceiling on foreign shareholding for foreign investors who are investing in Vietnamese credit institutions. It also discusses the conditions of Decree 1 for two distinct groups of investors such as one for foreign organisations proposing to become foreign strategic investors.
