  • The article's perspective is that the U.S. is not giving enough attention to Mexico's drug-trafficking problem as of November 2013. The spread of crime and violence related to drug-trafficking organizations (DTOS) from rural areas into major cities is noted. Topics include how DTOS or drug cartels function, the estimated revenue from illegal drugs, and the logistics of the U.S.-Mexico border for terrorists. Rival cartels La Familia Michoacana and Los Caballeros Templarios are noted.
