  • The article focuses on economic and infrastructure development in Monterrey, Mexico in the 21st century. It states that Mexico's two major rail systems, Kansas City Southern (KCS) and Ferromex, converge and interlink in Monterrey with KCS feeding directly into the U.S. rail network. It mentions the rail system also connects Monterrey to major Mexican ports on the Atlantic and Pacific coast and talks about the Interpuerto project that will provide warehousing and an industrial park.
