    La figura de Venus es el personaje del mundo greco-latino más nombrado en la poesía de Rafael Alberti. A la hora de analizar su presencia hemos distinguido dos planos: el referencial y el imaginativo. En el plano referencial incluimos todos aquellos datos que Alberti tomó del exterior dejándonos constancia de ellos en su poesía. En el plano imaginativo, el más fértil, distinguimos las diferentes transformaciones e interpretaciones de Venus que tienen lugar en su mente, dando como resultado un mundo de imágenes de una gran variedad y dinamismo.

    Las hemos denominado: imágenes de suplantación, identificación, simbolización, del artificio y lo grotesco, del desenfado y la ironía, e imágenes surrealistas

    "Venus in Rafael Alberti's Poetry. Cultural References and Creative Images". In Rafael Alberti's poetry the figure of Venus is the character from theGreek-Latin world to which more references are made. In the analysis of this figure we have distinguished two planes: the referential plane and the imaginative plane. In the referential plane we have included all the facts Alberti took from the outside world. While in the imaginative plane, the most fertile one, we have pointed out the different transformations and interpretations of Venus which take place in the poet's mind, having as a result an imagery of great variety and dynamism. We have referred to them as supplanting, identification and symbolization imagery; artifice and grotesque imagery;

    and finally irony and surrealistic imagery.
