Uso del vocativo en la entrevista política: género discursivo y (des)cortesía

    En este artículo nos ocupamos de la (des)cortesía en la entrevista política. En concreto, analizamos la entrevista de Ana Pastor a Rafael Correa, presidente de Ecuador, como muestra de cómo el género condiciona el uso y la interpretación de ciertas marcas, en concreto los vocativos, y convierte ciertas formas, incluso corteses, en descorteses, lo que contribuye a convertir en no cooperativo un género típicamente cooperativo. Tras analizar la entrevista política como género y las principales variables de la entrevista a Correa (participantes y superestructura), nos ocupamos del uso de los vocativos (referidos a entrevistado y entrevistadora) y los relacionamos con transgresiones de las normas de género, relativas a la estructura pregunta-respuesta, los turnos de habla, la neutralidad periodística y la asimetría entre los interlocutores. Concluimos que el análisis de la organización temática y estructural de la entrevista, la influencia de las convenciones de género y las marcas de (des)cortesía representadas en esta entrevista por los vocativos, permiten observar usos marcados y transgresiones de las normas de género que remiten a la construcción/destrucción de la imagen del interlocutor y el refuerzo implícito de la propia argumentación e imagen de cara al público.

    This paper deals with (im)politeness in political interviews. Specifically, the interview by Ana Pastor to Rafael Correa, President of Ecuador, is analyzed in order to show to what extent genre has an influence on the use and interpretation of some units, particularly vocatives, and can turn some forms, even polite ones, into impolite ones. The interaction between genre and polite forms contributes to make uncooperative a typically cooperative genre. After analyzing political interview as a gender and the main variables of the interview to Correa (participants and superstructure), the use of vocatives (referred to interviewee and interviewer) is described and related to various transgressions of genre norms, namely, question-answer structure, turn-taking, journalistic neutrality and asymmetry between interlocutors. I conclude that the analysis of the thematic and structural organization of the interview, the influence of genre conventions and some forms (imp)politeness represented by vocatives in this interview, allow observing marked uses and transgressions of genre norms that refer to the construction / destruction of the addressee�s image and the strengthening of the speaker�s implicit argumentation and image to the overhearing audience.
