  • Resumen
    • Three first-year Savi's Warblers of the subspecies luscinioides, showing breast stripes, were trapped during autumn migration in the llobregat Delta, Catalonia, NE Spain. Stripes were clearly defined in one individual buf rather diffuse in the other two. Breast mottling had not been recorded previously for the nominate subspecies of Savi's Warbler. The possibility of misidentification and confusion between mottled Savi's and River Warblers is discussed: identification should be based on careful observation of plumage and biometrical data; the combination of undertail covert and upperpart colours should be used as diagnostic features
