Kleptoparasitism of the Cattle Egret was recorded at a rubbish dump. Most robbing attempts were intraspecific, only two of them being directed at lesser Black-backed Gulls Larus fuscus. Robbing success was 35%. The occurrence of this behaviour in the Cattle Egret is probably related to the high concentration of species and individuals at the rubbish dump.
