  • During breeding, fwd storing in shrikes is considered as a task performed by males. Data were obtained on the roles of male and female Red-backed Shrikes in prey storing by watching three pairs during their breeding in North-western Spain. During the care of nestlings and fledglings, both the male and the female stored important amounts of prey.
