A House Sparrow nest was found situated in a factory crane, which was continually moving distances of nearly 75 m. The movement of the nest did not affect the breeding success of the sparrows, which fed the nestlings normally This unusual nest site and other cases reported in the liferature exemplify the high adaptability of the species to man-made environments.
