  O artigo analiza o movemento migratorio das mulleres galegas dende o lugar de orixe até a súa inserción nunha cidade do sueste da provincia de Bos Aires como Mar del Plata. Considera a cualificación ocupacional inicial e as distintas actividades desempeñadas no destino tendo en conta o contexto urbano-rural deste núcleo de poboación, así como a idade e o estado civil.

  Estas últimas variables son consideradas como indicadoras da recreación de familias numerosas nas que estas mulleres demostraron un comportamento exogámico fronte a outras españolas.

  Sen desatender os estudos de xénero, o traballo cuestiona a hipótese que sostén de maneira lineal a subordinación das mulleres galegas fronte aos homes e expón a complexidade que implicaba o exercicio dun poder non poucas veces arbitrario fronte a outras mulleres e tamén fronte á súa familia.

  This article analyses the migratory movements of Galician women from their place of origin to their insertion in a city such as Mar del Plata in the southeast of the province of Buenos Aires. It considers the initial occupational classification and the various activities carried out at destination, taking into account the urban-rural context of the population centre, as well as age and marital status. The latter variables are considered as indicators of the re-creation of large families in which these women behaved exogamously in comparison with other Spanish women. Taking gender studies into account, the essay questions the linear hypothesis that upholds the subordination of Galician women to the men and considers the complex nature of exercising an often arbitrary power over other women and their families.
