    This study analyses the marriage models of emigrants from Galicia and Asturias in late-colonial Buenos Aires (end of the 18th century and beginning of the 19th). We are interested in highlighting the reasons for the generalisation of certain marital behaviours and their effects on the integration processes of newcomers in their destination societies. Accordingly, we highlight the fact that the males� strong tendency to regional exogamy involved other kinds of social logic, which strengthened or re-created the bonds with members of the society of origin.

    O presente traballo pretende analizar as pautas nupciais dos migrantes galegos e asturianos no Bos Aires tardocolonial (finais do século xviii e comezos do xix). Interésanos poñer de relevo os motivos polos que se xeneralizaron determinados tipos de comportamentos matrimoniais e os efectos que estes tiveron sobre os procesos de integración dos recentemente chegados, dentro do ámbito de acollida. Deste modo, destacaremos que detrás da forte tendencia á exogamia rexional dos varóns, desenvolvéronse outras lóxicas sociais, que propiciaron o reforzamento ou a recreación de vínculos con membros da sociedade de orixe.
