    El extremeño Enrique Pérez Comendador (1900-1981) pertenece al grupo de escultores e imagineros más destacados de siglo XX. Son varios los géneros escultóricos que desarrolla en su larga carrera, siendo el arte sacro el más identificativos. Imaginero que se consolida como tal en la época de la postguerra y que tras la progresiva consolidación de las Nuevas Vanguardias sabe amoldar su obra academicista a un estilo que empieza a imponerse. De esta progresión surge la insinuación y el erotismo en sus imágenes religiosa convirtiéndose en una de sus señas escultóricas más características del artista

    The Extremdura Enrique Pérez Comendador, (1900-1981) belongs to the most renowned group of sculptors and makers of religious images or imagineros in the twentieth century. His long career includes many different types of sculpture, but the form for which he is most known is that of his religious work. He established himself as an imaginero during the post Spanish civil war period. Along with the progressive consolidation of the �Nuevas Vanguardias� or new vanguardists, he was able to mold his academic style with other styles that began to emerge. This progression brings forth the insinuation and eroticism seen in his religious images which in turn are among his most distinguished characteristics as an artist.
