  • Resumen
    • The Anti-Atlas region was deformed by the Pan-African orogeny during the late Proterozoic. Later on, three units of uppermost Proterozoic rocks (X3) have been deposited. The uppermost of these three units (X3s) include siliciclastic, carbonate and volcanic rocks, deposited in basins bounded by faults with a dominant dip-slip normal motion and NE-SW and NW-SE orientations. Adoudounian (uppermost Proterozoic) and Palaeozoic rocks lie unconformable over the previous rocks. During the Variscan orogeny the studied region experienced a gentle deformation, which resulted in the inversion of the late Proterozoic X3s basins: reverse faults and associated folds were produced. Two examples of these structures are presented.
