  • The article looks at the role of the chief financial officer (CFO) in business enterprises as of 2014. It reports on a trend of CFOs taking on an expanded role in the overall strategic planning of the firm, as opposed to merely overseeing the finance function, and offers recommendations for enhancing and performing effectively in that expanded role.
