  Presentamos una revisión del estado actual de la investigación básica en osteoinducción y, en función de ella, establecemos un juicio crítico de los diversos injertos óseos y sustitutos de hueso en Odontoestomatología y Cirugía Maxilofacial. Se discuten las aplicaciones clínicas presentes y futuras de los Sutitutos de hueso con propiedades osteoinductivas.

  We present a review bout new concepts in the octeoinduction theory. Osteogenetic, osteoinductive and osteoconductive propertis of various bone grafts and bone substitutes employed in odontoestomatology and in maxillofacial reconstruction are presented. Current and future clinical applications of bone substitute with osteoinductive propertives are discussed.
