  • Este artículo intenta mostrar algunos trayectos recientes en el campo de la investigación en comunicación en Cuba, y su relación con los aportes esenciales de la obra de Manuel Martín Serrano. Los acercamientos a la obra de este autor en el caso cubano han estado predominantemente enfocados hacia su propuesta de una Teoría Social de la Comunicación y se han visto favorecidos, principalmente, por su apropiación en diversas líneas de investigación en el área de los estudios teóricos e históricos. Estas reflexiones se centran en un análisis en torno a la validez de estos acercamientos, así como una aproximación a las ventajas y limitaciones de su apropiación en la investigación cubana. ;This article tries to show some recently explored paths in the field of communications research in Cuba, and its relation with the essential contributions of Manuel Martín Serrano's work. In the Cuban case, the approaches to this author?s work have been mainly focused on his proposal of a Social Theory of Communication. They have been benefited, mainly, from the theory?s appropriation by several lines of research in the area of the theoretical and historical studies. These reflections are focused on the analysis concerning the validity of these approximations. It is also an approach to the advantages and limitations of Cuban research.
