  • Se presenta una investigación en torno a las relaciones entre Poder, Estado y medios de comunicación masiva desde la mirada de la Teoría Crítica que permite comprender el complejo tejido que engarzan las relaciones de poder a la mayoría de las actividades humanas. Asimismo se aborda el papel que tiene el Estado como elemento regulador de las distintas fuerzas de carácter institucional, que operan en su interior como estructuras de poder y la función que cumplen los medios de comunicación masiva en la complejidad de las sociedades modernas. Como estudio de caso, se analiza el cambio de gobierno en Baja California, México, que ocurrió entre 1989 y 1995, y se aborda el fenómeno de la interdependencia estructural entre el gobierno de Ernesto Ruffo Appel y la prensa bajacaliforniana.;This text is an investigation about the relationship between Power, State and the mass media from the perspective of Critical Theory. Critical Theory helps understand the complex tissue which links the power relations with most of human activities. The article also deals with the role of the State as a regulating element of the different institutional forces that operate in it as structures of power. Finally, it also studies the role of the mass media in our complex modern societies. As a case study, the government change in Baja California, Mexico, between 1989 and 1995 is analyzed. The phenomenon of structural interdependence between the Ernesto Ruffo Appel government and the press from Baja California is investigated.
