    The years 1903 and 1804 were a success for satirical printmaker Orens and his Burin satirique series. 1905 on the other hand was a time of questioning of both his art (with the launch of the Panthéon Orens) and his subject matters. Yet, with the support of Grand-Carteret he still produced 15 prints for the Burin satirique, which found its audience despite the growing competition of the satirical postcard.

    Le caricaturiste Orens connaît le succès en 1903-1904 avec sa série du Burin satirique. 1905 est l’année de questionnements sur sa pratique (création du Panthéon Orens) et les thèmes traités. Soutenu par Grand-Carteret, il poursuit son entreprise en publiant 15 estampes cette année-là, qui parvient à trouver son public malgré la crise de la carte postale satirique qui se fait jour.
