A systematic study on bivalves has been carried out in the Turonian of the Gabonese coastal basin from the Belle Vue 3 section in the south of Libreville region. Three genera including seven species are distinguished: Granocardium (Granocardium) sp., Lima (Plagiostoma) grenieri (Coquand), Lima (Plagiostoma) pseudohörnesi Riedel, L. (Plagiostoma) cf. perplana (Koenen), L. (Plagiostroma) sp., Rastellum diluvianum (Linné) and R. sp. Rastellum is reported here for the first time in the Gabonese coastal basin. The species L. (Plagiostoma) cf. perplana (Koenen) and L. (Plagiostroma) sp. are found for the first time in the Gabonese coastal basin. The assemblage of bivalve faunas from Belle Vue 3 section is dominated by representative of the genus Lima and more precisely by representative of L. (Plagiostoma) sp.
