    También podemos tratar casos de mordida abierta con la técnica lingual. Al final del tratamiento podemos extraer los brackets linguales de la arcada superior y substituirlos con ataches vestibulares. O también se puede recurrir al uso de mini-realces fijos sobre los molares inferiores de los pacientes en combinación con la utilización de elásticos verticales. Tal metódica es mucho más eficaz, aunque debe ser manejado según el criterio preciso y escrupuloso del ortodoncista.

    Open bite cases may also be treated with lingual orthodontics. At the end of treatment we can remove the linguak brackets of the upper arch and substitute them with vestivular attachments. Or we may use fixed elements over the lower molars, continuing this with the use of vertical elastics. This method is particularly useful, altrought it should be applied according to the conect criteria of the clinician doing it.
