Resumen de El duelo, entre la falta y la pérdida

La imposibilidad de la sustitución de un objeto por otro surge por la existencia de un resto, efecto de la alteridad y singularidad del otro. Reconocer la distancia entre falta y pérdida permite entender esa irreductibilidad. La falta es el fundamento del sujeto y solo toma consistencia con la pérdida y su consentimiento, experiencia que es del orden de lo femenino. Lo femenino también se presenta en el exceso que aparece en el duelo, al ser aquello que escapa al discurso.
En este artículo se analizan, ade - más, las consecuencias en la clínica psicoanalítica de la postura que se tome frente al duelo.

The impossibility of substituting one object for another arises due to the existence of a remainder, which is the effect of alterity and of the singularity of the other. Un - derstanding the difference between lack and loss makes it possible to understand this irreducibility. Lack is the fundament of the subject and it only takes shape with loss and consent, an experience that belongs to the order of the feminine. The feminine also appears in the excess that is characteristic of mourning, as that which escapes discourse.
