Resumen de "Per lustro della famiglia": la collezione di Paolo Falconieri (1634-1704) e nuove considerazioni su dipinti di Raffaello, Bernini e Andrea Sacchi
The present article reports on an investigation of the picture gallery of Paolo Falconieri (1634-1704) and a large number of relevant documents found in the familiy's private archive at Carpegna and in the Rome State Archive. Among them, various inventories and a small booklet (on which the purchases of paintings in the period between 1652 and 1698 are carefully enregistred), give account of the origins of the collection and the works of art contained in it acquired both through inheritance and market acquisitions. This study provides new and useful information on paintings by Raphael, Gian Lorenzo Bernini, Andrea Sacchi, Guercino, Salvator Rosa and others. Additionally an unpublished portrait by Marratta is here discussed for the first time.
