    En una época de fuerte militarización social como lo es la Carolina, el provisorato palentino tendrá que entender en expedientes matrimoniales que nos hablan de hombres que fueron reclutados como soldados y de sus contactos y conflictos con las mujeres de su diócesis. La firma del Tercer pacto de Familia por Carlos III, la preocupación de los ilustrados por la población desocupada y el interés de la Iglesia por la estabilidad matrimonial son factores fundamentales para entender la sociedad del siglo XVIII y el estudio de sus informes de libertad y soltería arroja una luz sobre las estrategias de supervivencia de este sector de población.

    In an era of strong social militarization like that of the Carolina, the Palencian Provisorato needs to understand about the matrimonial processes that tell us about the men who were recruited as soldiers and of their contacts and conflicts with the women of the Diocese. The signing of the Third agreement of Family made by Carlos III, the worries of the Illustrated about the unemployed population and the interest of the Church in the matrimonial stability are fundamental factors in order to understand the society of the 18th century. The study of Liberty and Bachelorhood Reports sheds a light on the strategies of survival for this sector of population.
