  • This research explores the formation of Autonomous Community of Castile and León, in Spain,it shows the media system and communication scholarship memory in the macro-region. Byapplying the same procedure, it was made a comparative study between Brazilian Middle-Westand the Castile and León. The indicators suggested that both media and academy systems inBrazilian Middle-West had almost no contribution for the formation of a regional identity,contrasting to the Spanish case, where is evident the feeling of strong regionalism.
